The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Orofacial Pain Practice: Perceptions from a Convenience Sample of Orofacial Pain Practitioners

COVID-19 has caused a significant impact on people’s life. Increasing evidence indicates that patients with chronic pain are being particularly impacted, however few papers have examined how the pandemic has impacted the care or clinical presentation of orofacial pain patients. The aim of this study was to describe COVID-19-related changes in referral patterns/numbers, changes in patient demographics, changes in patient’s presenting problems, and changes in administrative procedures in 3 Orofacial Pain clinical settings.
