Choose a human orthodontist

Why choose a human orthodontist?

Welcome to the age of the app, where there’s too much to do and never enough time to do it. Need a lift? There’s an app for that. Hungry? There’s an app for that. Searching for ‘the one’? You get the idea. In 2020 there’s a time saving app for every occasion, and most are really helpful. But when healthcare gets streamlined, corners get cut and care gets compromised. Sometimes it’s best to trust the methods that are tried and tested. Here are 4 reasons to choose a human orthodontist.

Orthodontists are experts.

For the uninitiated, orthodontists are dentists who’ve spent an additional 3 years in graduate school, for a combined total of 12 to 14 years of post-secondary education, honing their expertise. And these additional years of intense study and ongoing in-field learning are impossible to duplicate.

You’re a human too.

Behind every good app is a big corporation, and corporations see their patients as customers. Orthodontists see their patients as people. This means there’s a human relationship underlying the patient-doctor one, and an accompanying foundation of trust that’s built with regular care.

You get what you pay for.

There’s a reason ‘disruptive’ mail order services are sold for a fraction of the cost of traditional orthodontic treatment, because they’re offering a fraction of the results. And healthcare is the last place you should be bargain hunting.

It works.

Simply put, one on one, in-person, orthodontist-patient relationships create the best results. You simply can’t replace generations of practice and years of learning with algorithms, apps or robots, no matter how shiny and new.
