Ulcerated gingival mass in a 45-year-old woman

A 45-year-old woman was referred from her general dentist to a local oral and maxillofacial
surgeon with a chief symptom of a “painful growth” of the left retromolar pad. She
denied any significant medical history to both her general dentist and the oral and
maxillofacial surgeon. She also denied any history of alcohol or tobacco use.
